Demand Grows for Houston’s Inner Loop

After graduating with a degree in business management from Tulane University, Eric Hymowitz started his career in the financial and real estate industries. Since 2002, Eric Hymowitz has led ROC Homes, a successful homebuilding firm that creates residential communities within Houston’s most desirable Inner-Loop neighborhoods.

Inner-Loop neighborhoods draw their name from their location within Interstate 610, a highway that encircles downtown Houston and several surrounding areas. These neighborhoods enjoy close proximity to the city’s booming job market, as well as the nightlife and cultural experiences offered in the downtown core. Individual neighborhoods, such as Rice Military, are also standalone entertainment hubs. Many neighborhoods also score high for walkability and access to public transportation.

Inner-Loop neighborhoods are ideal for professionals and families. The area includes many of the city’s top-rated school systems, as well as miles of hiking trails and green spaces. Demand for homes in the Inner Loop has led to an increase in construction projects, driven by an influx of new residents.

GHBA Scholarships for Members' Children

A construction professional with more than 25 years of experience, Eric Hymowitz has served as president of Houston, Texas-based ROC Homes since 2002. To stay current on topics in the local home building industry, Eric Hymowitz maintains membership in the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA).

Established more than 80 years ago, GHBA engages in education and advocacy efforts on behalf of professionals in the residential construction and remodeling industry. To support the local community, GHBA offers a scholarship program for the members’ children who are pursuing a college education. Funded exclusively by private donations, GHBA scholarships are available to high school seniors and students enrolled full-time at an accredited college.

All donors to the GHBA scholarship program are recognized in the Houston Builder magazine, while donors who contribute more than $3,000 have the opportunity to present a scholarship in their own or their company’s name. For more information or to make a donation, visit www.ghba.com.
