GHBA’s Benefit Homes Project Benefits

The president of ROC Homes since 2002, Eric Hymowitz leads the award-winning firm in the design and construction of attractive Houston homes. Eric Hymowitz and ROC Homes compete in the annual Prism Awards contest held by the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA).

Established in 1941, the GHBA comprises 1,600 professionals within the city’s residential construction and remodeling industry. In addition to supporting an optimal business climate for members, the organization engages in advocacy and education to improve the quality of life for all Houston residents. Through its Benefit Homes project, GHBA builders, developers, and suppliers collaborate to build quality homes, which are then sold at market value for a profit donated to charitable local causes.

The Benefit Homes Project aims to support the Houston community by funding key organizations such as HomeAid Houston and Operation Finally Home, both of which build homes for veterans and individuals experiencing homelessness. Since the program was created, GHBA has donated more than $1.2 million to charitable organizations.
